Wonderful collection of pictures. This book is on my living room table so my friends can pick it up anytime and enjoy pictures from the National Geographic history.
I was encouraged to purchased this book because of the rave reviews. I'm beginning to question if these reviews are real ?The book is printed in China on cheap paper and the images in many photos are blurred.I'm extremely disappointed in this book and will return it tomorrow.The price is inexpensive and it shows that you get what you pay for.
This book is small enough to keep on my dining room table. I flip thru the pages every day - and each time I see a picture differently than before. As an amateur photographer it helps me understand lighting and camera angles. And buying it used makes it budget friendly.
I purchased this book as a gift, but found that I can't keep my hands off it..incredible photos from the archives of Nat Geo every topic from nature scenes to rare incredible animal shots to history's most famous people (as well as people you've never seen)This is the must-have of coffee table books.

Some of the most exceptional National Geographic photos are found in this book. But the quality of paper used to reproduce this book disappointed me. I would be willing to pay more for a better quality paper to highlight these photographic masterpieces.
I would like to have rated this book at 3.5 stars. From the reviews I read I expected more.
Absolutely gorgeous coffee table book - worth the purchase price. Mine was purchased for a gift, but arrived with the book cover bent and folded due to careless packing by Amazon. I complained to Amazon but no one there replied. So, book was great; customer service was not.
